The Studio
Bright House Studio.
Bright House Studio is Joanna's creative environment for intentional mixed-media work and thoughtfully guided experiences. A calm, reservation-only studio shaped slowly over time, where paint, paper, texture, shells, and layered materials meet conversation, reflection, and care.

The Atmosphere
A calm environment, gently held.
The studio holds space for intentional creative practice and for relational experiences that ask for a slower pace. Each season looks a little different. Some days the work is paint and paper. Other days it is conversation, listening, and the quieter shared work of being present with the people who arrive.
Within this wider studio environment, one of the experiences Joanna shapes is A Cord of Three, led together with her husband Mark.

Within the Studio · With Joanna and Mark
A Cord of Three.
A guided marriage experience led together by Joanna and Mark within the relational atmosphere of Bright House Studio.
For years, Joanna and Mark have walked alongside married couples through an ongoing experience they call A Cord of Three. It was developed slowly, from a simple desire to create space for honest conversation, prayer, and reconnection. Less a program and more a posture, it is shaped within the wider relational atmosphere of the studio, by the conviction that following Jesus changes the way we love, listen, and remain.
The heart behind it is not perfection or performance. It is the belief that marriage is sacred, and worthy of time, gentleness, humility, and care.
What the time together may hold
- Guided, unhurried conversation
- Scripture centered reflection
- Journaling, side by side
- Practical communication, gently practiced
- Creative, tactile shared work
- Prayer, listening, and silence
- Small keepsakes that continue carrying meaning
Held with gentleness, covenant, and grace.
The Posture
Slow enough to truly hear.
Following Jesus shapes the way Joanna and Mark approach marriage, communication, forgiveness, and covenant. There is room for honesty, tenderness, growth, and the unfinished places. Not performance. Not perfection. Just the steady, prayerful work of two people learning to love, listen, forgive, and remain close to one another in Christ.
Shared by invitation, in small seasons, when the timing is right. If something here resonates with you, we would love to hear from you.
